“Everyone’s Gift Hits Different”

“Everyone’s Gift Hits Different”

“Everyone’s Gift Hits Different”

We all have been called for a greater purpose than ourselves

“And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head — Christ. From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part.”

Ephesians 4:11-16

God has  placed a specific call on each of our lives, some of us have been called to be Pastors, teachers, doctors, or social media influencer's (yup) more public roles . While others have been been called to be great mothers and fathers, and people who sow privately into their communities. None of these roles outweigh or are greater than the other because the creator of the call is the same- Christ. Often there’s a tendency in today’s popular culture to judge someone’s call based off of what is seen. You know a post on Instagram , Facebook, or accolades from whoever is big at the time. There is a scripture that is often quoted “We walk by faith and not by sight.” Then why does that not apply to your brother or sister? Why must you see their impact to believe it is occurring? Why can’t we respect what has been placed inside someone else, while working out what God has placed inside us?

This why we must recognize that “Everyone’s Gift Hits Different” yet we all  have been called for a greater purpose. That purpose is to build the kingdom of God in the way he created us to. Each of us  have a different impact on the lives of others. Our personalities are extroverted, others introverts, or some in between. There are levels of degrees, experience, and power within the Kingdom. Each of us form to build the body in our unique way. That mother may have great advice for the doctor and the pastor might preach a word that ignites a fire inside someone who then becomes a community leader.

You sis, yes you, that decision to walk in the call of God on your life can start a revolution for the kingdom of God. You can breakdown barriers, break generational curses, and create generational wealth. This all works together for everyone’s good. Your example will propel someone else to take the leap. However, you must recognize that your call has already been apart of God’s greater plan, it just hits different...No more comparison, no more worrying about what they said or did. Just recognize that you have been called for such a time as this and you posses what you need to be great already. Put your gifts and skills to work so that you can walk out the call of God on your life.

Remember......

Jeremiah 1:5
I chose you before I formed you in the womb;
I set you apart before you were born.
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Let’s Pray

Father God I thank you for your mercy and grace. I pray that you would help me to see the call on the life of other people as clearly as I see mine. I pray that I would walk in love with boldness to do what you have called me to do. I surrender to your process to unite your kingdom for a purpose greater than me. I wholeheartedly embrace the call you have place on my life and seek to follow you daily. May I counter the culture and create yours. Thank you for loving me before anyone else knew me. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
